LPG SAFETY GUIDE

Everyday habits that matter.

Use LPG equipment only as intended, keep cylinders and appliances in suitable conditions, and have installations handled or checked by appropriately qualified professionals.

01

Cylinders

Keep LPG cylinders upright, secure and in a suitable well-ventilated location. Protect them from excessive heat, damage and ignition sources.

02

Ventilation

Ensure areas where gas appliances operate have appropriate ventilation. Never block vents or alter an appliance's required airflow.

03

Appliances

Use appliances and regulators that are suitable for LPG and follow the manufacturer's instructions. Do not modify gas equipment yourself.

04

Connections

Gas piping, appliance connections and installation work should be carried out and checked by a suitably qualified professional.

05

If you smell gas

Do not use flames, smoke or operate electrical switches near the suspected leak. Move away from the area and seek professional assistance. If there is immediate danger, contact the appropriate emergency services.

06

Maintenance

Watch for damaged hoses, regulators, valves or fittings and arrange inspection or replacement when required. Do not use equipment you believe may be unsafe.
